Program description
Cuddleme is a marketplace for platonic companionship. To protect our members, a member may designate a trusted person as their safety contact. If a member begins an in-person session and does not confirm they are safe within a grace period afterward, Cuddleme sends an automated safety alert — an automated phone call and/or an email, according to the member's chosen preference — asking that designated safety contact to check on the member. These are transactional safety notifications; there is no marketing or promotional content.
How you're enrolled & consent
You are enrolled only when a Cuddleme member lists you as their safety contact — providing your name, email, and (for the call option) your phone number — and you give consent yourself by clicking the confirmation link in the email we send you. No automated call is ever placed before you click that link. The phone number is supplied by the member, but you are never called until you have personally confirmed your consent by email. If a member chooses the email-only option, you receive alerts by email once you confirm.
Notification frequency
Alerts are event-driven and rare. You will only be contacted if the member who listed you begins an in-person session and does not confirm they are safe afterward — for most contacts this is rare or never. Automated calls are placed from +1 (760) 875-2775(“Cuddleme Safety”).
Opt out & help
You can withdraw your consent at any time — remove yourself by emailing hello@cdlme.app, or ask the member who listed you to remove or change their safety contact. Once withdrawn, you will receive no further safety calls or emails. For help, email the same address.
No guarantee — courtesy feature
Cuddleme Safety Alerts is a free, best-effort courtesy feature — not an emergency, security, medical, or life-safety service. It is not a substitute for calling 911 or your local emergency services. We do not guarantee that any alert will be sent, delivered, received, or acted upon. Delivery depends on factors outside our control, including phone carriers, third-party providers, network availability, and the accuracy of the contact details provided, and the feature may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable at any time. Any subscription or other fee Cuddleme charges is for access to the marketplace only and is not payment for emergency or safety services.
Privacy
Phone numbers and email addresses used for this program are never shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
