Cuddleme Safety Alerts, operated by Bitsmart Global LLC.

Program description

Cuddleme is a marketplace for platonic companionship. To protect our members, a member may designate a trusted person as their safety contact. If a member begins an in-person session and does not confirm they are safe within a grace period afterward, Cuddleme sends an automated safety-alert text (and phone call) to that designated safety contact, asking them to check on the member. These are transactional safety messages — there is no marketing or promotional content.

How you opt in

Cuddleme Safety Alerts is operated by Bitsmart Global LLC. You are enrolled only when a Cuddleme member lists you as their safety contact — providing your name, email, and mobile number — and you give consent yourself by clicking the confirmation link in the email we send you. No SMS is sent before you click that link. The mobile number is supplied by the member, but you are never texted until you have personally confirmed your consent by email.

The moment you confirm, we send one opt-in confirmation text:

“Cuddleme Safety Alerts: You're confirmed as a safety contact for a Cuddleme member. You'll only be texted if they don't confirm they're safe after a session. Event-driven; msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”

After that, you are texted only if the member begins an in-person session and does not confirm they are safe afterward. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELPfor assistance. Message & data rates may apply.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and is event-driven. You will only be texted when a safety escalation occurs for the member who listed you — for most contacts this is rare or never.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt out & help

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation and you will receive no further safety texts. For help, reply HELP or email hello@cdlme.app.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on major US carriers; delivery is subject to carrier conditions.

No guarantee — courtesy feature

Cuddleme Safety Alerts is a free, best-effort courtesy feature — not an emergency, security, medical, or life-safety service. It is not a substitute for calling 911 or your local emergency services. We do not guarantee that any alert will be sent, delivered, received, or acted upon. Delivery depends on factors outside our control, including carriers, third-party providers, network availability, and the accuracy of the contact details provided, and the feature may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable at any time. Any subscription or other fee Cuddleme charges is for access to the marketplace only and is not payment for emergency or safety services.

Privacy

Mobile numbers used for this program are never shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
